Ms. Pham Kieu Oanh
Ms Pham Kieu Oanh is the Founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP), a Vietnam based social enterprise incubator.
She is a pioneer and an expert in social entrepreneurship development, child protection, and women’s rights. With CSIP, Oanh contributed to a new sector of social entrepreneurship in Vietnam. From 2009 to 2015, CSIP has built a pipeline of more than 70 social enterprises, which contribute to improve the life of 200,000 disadvantaged people.
Ms Oanh is also a key mover in initiating policy changes to create a conducive environment for the growth of the social enterprise sector in Vietnam. Thanks to her endless effort, social enterprise had been well recognized by the government and included in the revised Law on Enterprise as a special form of enterprises that do business for social change.
Utilizing her extensive knowledge and network in social enterprise, Ms Oanh is a founding member of the Social Enterprise Asian Network, GlobalSocial Enterprise Network and Asian Venture Philanthropies Network. She is also a trustee of Air Asia Foundation, the founder of Vietnam Social Entrepreneurs Club and Vietnam Social Enterprise Network.
Prior to founding CSIP, Oanh held various senior positions at international non-government organisations based in Vietnam such as UNICEF, UNDP, ActionAid, World Concern International. Oanh also served on the Vietnam National Committee for the advancement of women as the national project facilitator for the National Committee for the Advancement of Women in Vietnam.
Ms Oanh graduated with a master degree in anthropology and sociology from Monash University, Australia. In 2015, she became a fellow of the Rockefeller Global Fellowship Program on social innovation.
