In April 2011, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thu Hà was elected president of the Vietnam Women’s Union, where she has been engaged for over 20 years.
She has a bachelor’s degree and PhD in psychology. For more than 20 years, she has been a member of the Vietnam Women’s Union, a former director of the Central Women’s Union and vice chairwoman of the Vietnam Women’s Union. From March, 2014 to November 2015, she was transferred to deputy secretary of the Vĩnh Long Provincial Party Committee.
In December 2015, she returned work at the women’s union as vice president. At the 12th National Congress, she was elected to the Central Committee of the Communist Party.
As a chairwoman of the Vietnam Women’s Union, in January 1977, she was appointed by the prime minister as a member of the board of directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.
